I bought a batch of jacks and the largest is starting to show some color. I wanted to share and see what you guys thought. My camera skills are a little weak as you can tell by the dark pictures.

Got any bgjd females :)? Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app
We bought 6 BGJD's and 6 EBJD's a while back. I am pretty sure we have some BGJD females because of the difference in their color and size but I am not 100% yet of which is which. We lost one of the Electric Blues but everyone else is coming along nicely. Looking to pair some off later on.

Wow! That is a extremely nice female. Where did you get her if you don't mind me asking...

You think that one is a female? Out of the 6 I have, that have been raised from 1 inch or less, that one is the biggest and has the most color at this point. I was thinking the males where usually larger and more colorful in JD's. Why do you think it is a female? I may be wrong in my thinking.

I will look at my email and see if I can find the guys name where I bought them. He was a pleasure to work with and all 12 we ordered got here safe and sound. I will post that later on today.

In my experience the blue "beard" that you see on this fish would point to female. I've never seen a male with such a solid beard. Males can have a beard so to say but it wouldn't be as solid as the one on your fish. Here is an example of my male JD with a beard. You can see how his isn't solid at all. This also is not very common. He's the first male JD I've ever seen with a beard.

In comparison you can see how my gold females beard is pretty solid.

Well, if this one turns out to be a female I will be a happy camper. That is what I am looking for, the best looking female bgjd's out of the batch. Thanks for your input.
