I think it's the name, "Karate Kid" I heard that they were going to rename it "Kung Fu Kid" (which would make more sense). I really think die hard fans go overboard with any movie/show remakes like GI Joe, Transformers, Star Trek, etc, but they're not bad...even good! I'm hearing more outrage on this movie though for some reason.
all his new movies suck in my opinion. in fact ever since he started making movies in hollywood his films started sucking. all his good movies were in the 80's and 90's in chinese. did all his own stunts and everything. those of you who seen his old school movies know what im talking about...he had so many great movies in the older days.
Jackie Chan, Jet Li all those guys did their best work in China/Hong Kong. Once they moved to the states all their stuff went to crap at the cyclic rate, especially jackie chan. When their old movies came out, they were the s**t! Now they are gimmicks. saddens me.

jackie chan was better in the early 80's. drunken master. snake in the eagles shadowto namebut a few.i didnt like his films when he went hollywood.
