Jacksonville sucks!

Well, I've never been a big fan of my home town but this definitely doesn't help....
The ONLY LFS I've been able to find here has Senegal Bichirs listed at 24.99!!!! WTF? Right down the street at petsmart they're usually $5. Now I understand bulk ordering and that large chains can cut their prices down a lot but seriously? LFS in Orlando never had them for more than $15. Whats really confusing is they had Ropefish for 9.99 when usually I see them for more like $15-20. :confused:
I'm at a loss here. I guess I'll just have to move to Japan. Does anyone know of another store here at all? They've all disappeared while I was gone.:cry:
Sorry for the rant, but you have to feel some of my frustration here.

Yeah but that's an importation issue, which sucks too. I CAN get them for $5. I don't really need them I already have two, its just the principle of the matter. And for a city this size (largest landmass in US) only having 1 lfs is really lame. If there's another one they're doing a really bad job advertising.
 
hmph come down here and see what its like we have NO lfs, literally not 1 fish store at all, bringing fish in is a matter of getting a permit which takes months and buying them in singapore which is a 7hr flight usually full of delays. most of the times 3" + fish die from the flight

Yeah that definitely sucks. It just bugs me that this place is so big and wants so bad to be a real city and not a small town stretched to hell and back and this is the best we can manage. I'm not in the middle of nowhere, many other cities in my state are much better off, and the govt isnt that strict (yet). Maybe I'm just spoiled by Orlando....
 
Maybe the price was typo?
 
My Local Petsmart has bichir for 39.99....
