What's up MFK?
I saw these filters online but couldn't get much info on them
Is anyone here using them? What are your experiences?
I was looking to improve mech filtration on a 7'x2'x2' with a hearty SA cichlid load.
 
In my experience, no cartridge cuts it. If you want really good mechanical filtration, the theres 2 things that work good, and best in combination. Sponge Filter on your filters inlet, and Canister Filters with 20/30 micron screens/sponges. If you got a sump, then adding a fine Filter Sock works as well as the canisters particulate screens/sponges.

i have two FX5's running without the mech pads...i'll give them a try
i've stayed away from them cause i keep hearing how fast they clog
