Ok so i just got a jade goby from one of my co-workers who didnt want it anymore after it ate all her fish, so i decided to take it off her hands because i happen to like to learn about new fish. So I need to know everything and anything about them like diet, what fish they can live with, do they need brackish water, what fish should i avoid putting in there with, and whats the ideal ph level should it be for it, and what size tank will it need? Thank you very much for the help

They do best when fed a lot of plant-based foods like HBH algae wafers. In the wild they eat tons of hair algae and small invertebrates. So meaty treats are an important addition to their diet.

I'd personally keep mine in brackish if I had the space, but he's doing well in fresh as are many other local specimens. Males are more orange and females are more bluish. They breed like cichlids and are normally very hardy and simple to maintain. They rarely exceed one foot in length and are a true wet pet, easily trained to eat of your fingers and will almost always beg for food. At least, mine does. :)

Actually its not eating anything i give it, my co-worker said it ate all her fish so i tried putting in guppies and small fish but its still not eating it just sits in one spot and moves occasionally to a new one
