I saw an awome goby today that reminded me of a jade goby, but I thought it might be something else. Sorry, once again I do not have a picture. It was about ten inches long and had really nice orange dorsal fins. the body was orange and turquois and had some verticle bars. Overall it was a very colorful goby. Does this sound like a jade? Thanks

Similiar to that one. Same body shape and olive coloring on the head. The dorsal fins where orange. Also the nice orange color that can be seen just behind the gills was over the whole body with turquoise. I bet it is the same fish.

If I am not mistaken female jade gobies turn shades of orange when mature (males become blue). I am trying to remember a member on MFK who has a breeding pair. I know that he has pictures that clearly demonstrate the difference between genders in adult fish

Here's a couple of mine. They do tend to change their color somewhat with their mood as well. You can't really see it well in the pics, but they do have an iridescent sheen on them.

Did it look like them??

if this works here are some pictures. The phone on my camera is not the best and taking a picture of the alive fish was not easy. Taking pictures of the dead ones, was pretty easy.

I do recall the picture of the male and female goby. If I remember correctly the female turns orange and the male a sky blue.
