Jady goby issue

I recently acquired an eight inch jade goby who for the first few weeks was living peacefully in my tank with no issues but last night he started breathing really heavily and swimming at the top of the tank almost jumping out alot of the time. No one else in the tank has been messing with him and they all seem more than happy in the tank so any idea whats up?
