Jag and ancistrus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
they will probably be absolutely fine. If the jag isn't that aggressive, ancistrus are generally peaceful fish and do well in communities.

I recently picked up a pair of WC Jags and they killed my bushynose pleco and my gold nugget pleco. These two were in a tank with a big captive-bred Jag for a year and a half with no problems before that. Good luck.

Thanks, I have one young JAG I think female with convict (one male and two female) and sajica (one male and three female) and three ancistus in a 250 litres (I don´t know - 55 gall?) tank, JAG may be 7 month old. And my friends says, that it is impossible, that managuensis female kill ancistrus , when she be older. But in our country JAG isn´t usual fish, I know only one boy which has it and he has only young fish, so my friends hasn´t really experiences. I don,t know also, if sajica cichlids are compatibility with adult JAG, they are little and overly paceful I think.
