I have a 15g with a jag and a yellow calvus. I know this is not the ideal set up for either of these guys, but they are both an inch or so. The jag picks on the calvus a little bit. I dont want the calvus to get hurt or anything because it is such a beautiful fish. Any tips on what I can do to decrease this? Of course a bigger tank but maybe adding another very small fish?

You really need to separate these fish. The jag will grow much more quickly than the calvus and it will either be stressed and chased to death or it will be eaten.

Damn that really sucks... I bought the calvus for $25 but I really like the jag. No where to really seperate either. Il have to think of something.

You would be better off to leave the Jag in the 15 gal and go buy a cheap 10 gal tank for the Calvus. Keep in mind, you will only be able to keep the jag in the 15 gal for a few months. This is just a cheap suggestion. If you have the money NOW, then get yourself a 90 gal or bigger for that bad boy Jag.

Yeh, I plan on getting a big tank in a month or so. You think they can last together until then?

Thanks for the idea. I made a little pile of rocks, and both fish are already checking it out.

u could sell me the calvus and wont have to worry about any fish fights :)

haha i would if ya wanted to. Im in NC or MD depending on the time.
