Jag and festae growth rate

How fast, approx, will jags rach the footlong mark on a diet of Hikari pellets, freexe dried krill, and frozen bloodworms? Clean water provided.

Same question about Festaes.

ive found jags to be fairly slow, ive grown some from 4 inch to 9 inch in about a year.

also contrary to most my festae pair grew fast till I lost them due to a tank problem from 2 inch to 10 inch in about 8 months.

both species were grown in my 300g tank, always overstocked as I impulse buy but with 80% wc pw.

males grow faster and bigger than females. male about 12" and took about 3 years.

Festae I hear .25" - .5" per month but I have no personal experience.

Jags are probably around .75" - 1" a month until around 8-9" then they slow down. It usually takes around 2 yrs to get a 12" male jag.

I got My Festae the week of Christmas 2013 they were 1.5 -2" , My females are now 7-9.5" and the males are 9.5-12.5 " so a bit faster than I expected having read numerous times how slow they grow. Dunno about Jags.

when i had a group of festaes i got them as .5-1"
within 3 months they were all 4"+ except 1 male
which was around 2.5-3" but oddly the most aggressive
one of all... lol
