I am getting a 150 gallon tank and wanted to know if it would be possible to keep a Jag and Midas together in the tank.

Buy a group of both as juveniles. Wait for a pair to form between a jag and midas. Then remove the rest and get rid of them. Bam. You got both. Other then that, your gunna end up with one or the other, most likely

I would not recommend it.
The tank is too small for those two for life.

If I got just one of them then what would be good to keep with it?

You can experiment at the peril of the other fish.
In tanks the size of a 150 fish like those often end up being housed alone.
Other people may recommend other robust cichlids but I would try smaller more peaceful cichlids if you want a community.

Agree with stanz.

150 really isnt that big. Maybe go with one of them and a one of pseudacanthicus plecos
