I think my red devil and managuense are going to have babies, has anyone ever had this happen. First they seemed like they hated each other but now they have taken over one side of the tank and don't let any other fish near their rock. Manny has a huge belly and has really lightened in color these past couple days.

same things ahppening with my female jag and male red devil, but no spawn yet, i dont think the devil is too interested tho but for some reason only let her live out of an oscar green terror and a nother smaller red devil

happens all the time, I bet if you do a good water change (25%) they will spawn not to long after...

i had my female rd and my male jag due the tango and breaded some of the bad asses cichlids i have ever saw. defininitly dovii level aggressiveness.
the babies are some titans.

the female jag glides over all smooth surfaces but no eggs? teh devil comes up and inspects to see if there are any to fertilize and when he realizes there are none he gets mad and chases teh jag, this happens continuosly, is there something wrong with the female jag?

This is the result of a Red Devil, Jag breeding. Got them from a guy, Red Devil killed Jag after second spawn, thats what the guy told me. The one in the picture, on right, had his tail bit off as a fry and it never really grew back.

hopefully they get some red!!! they would look awesome

I don't know if this helps but before my dovii lays eggs she does a few trial runs with my dempsey. Just to go over how and where they are going to do their business.
