Im going to order 2 Indo dats and a FE for my 150 (i know how big FE's get and i will be upgrading within 1-2 yearS) But the current cichlid stock is:
-2xGT
1xCon
1xoscar

I love jags and the website I'm ordering from gets them at 2inches and all of my cichlids apart from the con are above 3". Male GT is around 4-5" and my Oscar is 5". With aggression, my GT has killed an oscar in their growout whilst i was sorting my 150 but has calmed down a considerable amount since i added a female! Im not worried about the GT's spawning as i have a lot of catfish to clean up the eggs...

It's defintley going to take some thinking whether to get one or not, but what do you guys think?

Just to add they're in their 150 now!

it may work because jags are really tempramental :) coz mine use to live with a fh in 90 gallon but is not ready to live with a texas at all

I totally agree ive had a few jags and most could he kept with others. Jags are have usually not to bad if given enough space,of course you do have some like my current male who is 12" has to be housed by himself. Hes in a 110 gallon his only tankmate was a pleco who he never bothered then one day i came home pleco floating with a broken spine. He is insane its hard to even do tank cleaning with him trying to attack me all the time. I will say dont get to used to how your decor looks with a big jag cause mine moves a big almost 10lb piece of driftwood around his tank.

Yeah get a jag! Great fish! I love jags as well. I'll be getting 3 small jags by next year. To go in my 400 gallon I'm going to build. A Jag would fit your stock. Just watch out for your con. Jags have some pretty big mouths!

Funny you mention the convict, the female jag i had i gave to a friend of mine along with a male convict that she seemed to have taken to. A few months later they spawned i ended up with the whole batch of.fry im growing them out.in a 55 they look pretty cool the largest is like 3".

My jag is about 9" and he and my convict get along just fine (convict is about 5" or so). I would just be worried about the GT. They can be aggressive and due to thier beak like mouth they can really damage other fish. jags have more of a draw bridge mouth in comparison and so they dont tend to be as damaging when aggressive. As long as your GTs leave your new jag alone you should be fine.

I decided to hold of for now with the jag but thanks for your help anyway!
