Any ideas on a clean up crew/ scavenger (group or individual) for going in with a jaguar cichlid?

How about a striped, spotted, or chocolate raphael? They're armor plated so they can handle the toughest tankmates and some of them, like the choc raph, get quite big and beautiful in that ugly as sin catfish kinda way. . .
Just a side note. . . you don't like plecos? What the piss is wrong with you? Each to their own I guess. . . you might change your mind though if you were to research all the hundreds of types and variations of plecos and see how big and beautiful (yes in that ugly as sin catfish kinda way) they can get. . .

I have my Jag with a Clarias catfish right now. But if you want something that'll eat algae as well, I can't think of anything big enough or tough enough to be with a Jag but a Pleco.
Not a big fan of catfish generally but i've found that plecs can pester other fish and try to suck on their slime, like they did with some large cigar sharks i have!
i had a channel cat with mine (he got too big and had to go
