At the moment I've got a green terror and JD in a 55 growout. In the process of planning their next home and was wondering what to keep with them. The next tank I'm getting is going to be 6 ft and probably 125 gallons. Was wanting to put a small jag in and then just keep the terror. Is this possible or will the jag end up killing the terror. If not could I do a festae, Cuban or carpintis?

Well i owned a 55g 3 years ago the first tank i ever had,my stock was a jag,2 ebjd, green terror & fastae...The jag out grew everyone, she was so agressive towards the other tank mates i had to give her to a freind of mine.I Upgraded to a 75g.The green terror a couple of months down the road picked up where the jag left off, gave him to a co worker,by the way he's a beutiful fish but still agressive lives in a 55g alone, has no toleration for tank mates...My ebjd, one i gave to my sister the other i kept in the 75g with the fastae.Guest what the fastae was beating the crap out of him,so i put him in a 30g,a week after being there he comitted suicide........You can put them together they might live peaceful side by side for know, but remember not all fish are compatible with each other, some fish are more agressive then other,so .....good luck..

I would go with a cuban or a texas. They don't get near as big as jags. You may even be able to go with a jag for awhile. I had a couple jags in with my GT and they did fine but I ended up selling them as I realized my tank was getting overcrowded. Eventually if you keep it the jag long enough it will grow to the point that a 125 is not enough. I would however stay away from the festae. From what I have heard, a festae will ruin your GT and JD's day! So again, cuban or texas. I think if it were me I would go with a cuban for contrast in color. A texas would add more of that blue color to your tank but that cuban would definitely look cool with the other two. That's just my opinion. Good luck!

what about a female JAG
i keep one with 2 oscars a gt and jd
does fine as long as she has he teritory to go to
i dont think a male jag will work
