ok i have heard that JD and jags can spawn. what are the chances my male JD will pair with my female jag. the male is full grown but the jag is only about 3.5-4 inches. i have seen some of these hybrids and i think they are awesome. neither one of them is from a higher class line so i will not be messing up good genes. like say i am just wondering my chances. here are my fish.

In a community tank, It's not very likely. If you wait until she gets about 5-6",
Either put them in a breeding tank together, Or remove the other fish from this tank.
Fatten them up on blood worms or something. Get the temp about 78 or so.
Do heavy water changes. And if they still get along. It's still a flip of the coin.

I have 4" gold Jag female in a breeding tank, With a beautiful 5 1/2" powder blue EBJD.
So I'm kind of trying to get a similar result. So I will be glad to help you accomplish your goal.
And here is the male I'm breeding with her.(tank needs a cleaning)

I Thu.k that will be a cool looking fish. I wonder if mutt fish are healthier, kinda like mutt dogs seem to have less health problems as oppose to pure bread dogs.
