I introduced a baby midas into my tank last night and now my baby jags color got darker. The midas really doesnt mess with him. It just tries to follow him around.

It means its stressed. Im actually selling my midevil so i can see my jaguars true colors, hes always dark :(
Depending on which one you like more I'd get rid of one. if the jag becomes the boss it probably will just keep the other fish away. If the midas becomes the boss, most likely hell try and kill any other fish.

It senses another Alpha Male.

I'd recommend only keeping one though as the Midas will probably kill the Jag in the future.

Right. Stick with one or the other even in a monster tank. Other then that you will be just trading fish all the time. I prefer the jags. Good luck on your choice!

Yeah I just noticed the baby midas already biting at the jag and gt and they are all only 2 inches and the midas is already aggressive. I will take the midas back tomorrow.

I would just watch them if you notice body wounds and frayed fins then you will have to make a choice.
