approx. how long to attain this length from 2" housed in a 55. diet will be krill, brine shrimp,mysis,hikari gold, bloodworms, and beefhearts.. maybe an occassional feeder if i can raise my own and fortify them then feeders on a regular. we will see on that. may raise some guppies to sacrifice

they grow steadily about 1" a month if properly kept until around 11", so if you plan on keeping in the 55 until 6" like you said in the other thread then a few months at most.

If you power feed and do twice or more a week water changes, you could get 2" a month from your jag.

i highly doubt that, sorry even at optimal conditions i have never seen that.

thanks then pretty much the same as an oscar just more meaner . i like that at 6" he should be ok w/ an oscar 13" and 10" in the 150 right?

that depends on the aggression levels of the oscars, if there anything like most of mine they'd probably be running away from the jag. lol, just to be on the safe side i'd keep it in the 55 until 8-9" before putting it into the 150.

I have a 6 inch Jag that makes any oscar no matter what size pay if they look at him wrong

I've had my Jag for a year now and she has went from 1.5" to 8"+ in that years time in a 40g breeder. Was going to upgrade my tank this month but just lost my job. I hate to make her suffer because of it, but what choice do I have for the time being?

mines gone from 1.5inches to 8inches in 6months...seriously......id try to add jag soon with oscars<4-5inches to grow them together...added mine staight in with 6inch oscars.....think otherwise when there bigger you nwill find it more diff to add together....
