Hey guys,
I have a problem that has been hassling me for a while and has caused some other problems.

I have a male jag thats about 35-40cm. He's a fussy prick of a fish. He used to eat anything i put in the tank until one day he started acting ill and wouldnt eat. Once he came good he almost exclusively eats live food only, for a while with the exception of one particular type of algae disk. But now he will only eat live food. This is a problem to keep up with. The easiest readily food i can feed him is meal worms which he loves. This became his primary diet. Problem is we are renovating and have had to put my fish in smaller tanks untill we can set up my 6x2x2.5. The smaller tank gets dirty quicker and ill admit the tank was probably a week overdue for a clean, which i do weekly anyway. So in combination with the unvaried diet of meal worms and stress of being in a smaller tank, the dirty water also contributed to him getting hith.

So i treated him for hith and things seemed to slow down but not heal. For at least a month there was no improvement in bis holes. Meanwhile i decided that i will try and starve him to eat the good pellets the rest of my fish eat. Ive done this before unsuccessfully a number of times. My reasoning being he is not going to get better if he doesnt have a decent diet. So i stopped feeding him meal worms. All of a sudden the hith started to clear, and continues to. The problem is, he hasnt eaten in about 3 weeks. Well if he has not while im watching.

Ive tried seachem garlic guard, entice, and about 8 different types of pellets. Does anyone have any udeas on how i can get him to eat??
