with a pair, if breeding, defiently not

but single jags, in 125+ may be able to work depending on the fish, but don't do it in anything under a 125.

so when in a small tank the jag will kill everything also do you need a 150 gallon for a pair cause thay will kill each other in a small tank?

You got it.

I have a 12" Jaguar that's more defensive than offensive. He doesn't usually bother anyone unless they go too close to his big flowerpot. He shares a 156g with a few other fish. I recently had to move out a 9" Green Terror that had more balls than brawn. This GT was always harrassing with the jag who would often tolerate him for a bit and then finally get pissed and open a can of whoop-as$. I felt they had to be separated or the GT was eventually going to be killed. The idiot just didn't understand he couldn't back up his sh*t. Have fun, jaguars are awesome fish!

A 75 gal for a single fish 125+ for a pair my pair will tolerate pleco's they will bite them but have never seriuosly hurt them:grinno:

what would happen if you put a fish like a raphael catfish in the same tank would the jag try to eat it and choke or would it kill it or leave it alone
