My 14" jag ran his head into s piece of driftwood a week ago. There was a small chunk of wood stuck in his head. I netted him and removed it. The flap of skin that's hanging doesn't seem to be healing. Any ideas?

Keep the water clean to avoid a fungal infection in the wound. Perhaps add some salt, or Pimafix. The rest should take care of itself in time. The flap of skin will likely just fall off at some point.

+1 clean water and keep meded as suggested. tho i would be adding melafix also, I do bioth any time my fish get any scratches or wounds.

Clean water is all you need, maybe add some aquarium salt if you feel it's necessary but I wouldn't dose any meds for no reason... Waste of money and unneeded stress on the fish. My Jag has hit his head and gashed it open a few times, clean water and Seachem Prime does the trick everytime.
