I've got a group of Jags growing out in a 125.
I noticed a couple of them have a VERY round body all of a sudden and now none seem very interested in eating. I've treated for bloat in the past in Africans but have never seen fish this round. Do you think it's bloat? I DID notice one with stringy white poop. Start the Epsom salts?
Thanks.

Sounds like internal parasites.

I’d check the water parameters and get that under control if it’s off. Dose some metronidazole or General cure to the tank. Also add some epsom salt at Q tbsp per 5g.

Thanks guys.

Here's what I have:

PH: 8.2
Nitrate: 5. The last time I did a WC was a week ago.
I feed New Life Spectrum cichlid formula 1mm once a day.
Temp: 76°.
Water change: 50% every two weeks.
No other tank mates.

Note: not all the fish have this issue but several do.

I have metro and epsom salt on hand. How much metro should I use? What is "Q tbsp per 5 gallons"?

500mg for every 10g daily for 10 days. Sorry I meant 1 tbsp per 5g for the Epsom salt.

Nothing to worry about with any of that.

When I bought this group of Jags back in June I filled the tank with driftwood so they'd feel safe. Because of that I didn't really know how many fish are affected.
I came home today, removed all the wood, did a 90% WC, and dosed with metro and epsom salt per above.
Out of the group of 9 it looks like 2 or 3 are affected. Two of the fish are extremely bloated and lethargic.
I haven't experienced an issue like this before.
