This is my Jag, Ive grown it from a 1 inch fry I got from my friend. It is currently A little over 4 inches, I was wondering what sex he was, I think its a male but I wanted your input. I am hoping to breed it.

Looks like a male to me , females have less spots on underside and lots more gold on show , good luck with him mate mines from similar size and is about 9" at the min and eats anythin that drops in the tank
i would put three or more jags in a group and have them pair then remove the other fish. with other fish in the tank they will bond faster and their bond will be stronger how big of tank is he in?
75 but I dont know how many 4"-5" Jags will put up with each other in there. I am getting a 125 sometime next year but that will be too late, I would like a pair sooner, than later.
I started out with three Jags but he quickly outgrew them and now constantly and relentlessly bites and chases them, they are always hiding behind the filter. They are about 2", which is why I think I need a bigger female Jag in the tank.
