Jag n silver aro

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Jags are very agressive and ur silver should be above 15" to defend itself...
If i were u i'll drop the idea of adding jag with silver...

Jags are super aggressive. You'll have scales missing and fins torn on the fish.

sorry but i dont agree with the above, to the OP what size tank are you planning on keeping this? because in my experience with jags is that if you keep them in tank that is big enough they can live with alot of diffrent fish, i had a friend who kept a jag in a 300 with 2 severums and othe fish, and nothing happend, no fights, heck there wasnt even a split fin!, he had this set up for about 3 years ,now there are however some jags that are very aggresive but if the tank is big enough you could use dither fish to help spred out aggresion

Same recomendations as with any other big sa/ca cichlid. The aro should be at least 11-12" long and about 2x the length of the cichlid. This is a safe recomendation but not a guarentee that it will work.

5x2x2 the jags 6 to 7 inches the aro is about two foot. I am planning on upgrade to 7x3x3 as soon as I've saved enough

if you could make it 8x3 that would be better, 7' seems kinda small for an aro

I've got a 10" jag in with a 19" jardini the jags never botherd him he knows who the boss is ,not sure about a silver though not quite as mean as jars , if the jags got a territory pot, pipe etc he'll defend it to the max though
