Jag not allowing another jag to swim freely

Two days back I bought two jags and put it in 55 gallon. One of my jag is not allowing another jag to swim.now it is hiding and not coming out to eat also... Please help

yeah jags are aggressive. how big are they? try to separate them with a tank divider for now but you will need to get a larger tank in the near future

Are there other fish in the tank to dissipate the attention of the dominant fish?

Rwellbaum it's 3 inch now I am planning to move after 2months to 200g

That's why. Get a few other similarly sized fish and they will all come out.

You probably had two males,even more fish for him to Target wouldn't have helped, sometimes you get a fish that will not tolerate the same species in the same tank no matter what, id try to introduce more fish now before you upgrade tanks unless you plan on making him a lone aggressive jag
