JAG OR BUTTI

I have a butti but want a Jag as well. One thing i do hear about the butti is that as they get older there color fades. Both are extremely aggressive however. Its really a personal choice as to which fish you like more cause were not the one that will be looking at the fish and doing the water changes. So you have to ask yourself which fish you prefer
Very true, as they get older the bright stripes they have do fade (the buttie's) where as the Jag looks better and better with time. I would go Jag, cant beat a full grown male Jag as a pit bull in a tank show piece.
As someone who has had a Butti, (albeit, a long time ago) and a someone who has just got Juvi Jag(s).

I would choose to keep the JAG. Here is why,
1)They get to very large sizes.
2)They have a huge appetite, which is more interaction with you as the owner.
3) There color only improves with age unlike the buttis whose fade.
4) Once they get situated they arent shy and are owner responsive.
4) Jags are incredibly beatiful fish.

I'm voting Jag but Butti's get much larger than Jags. They also eat a ton. Not shy at all. And so far my 4.5" still looks amazing but I have seen adults that have faded. I just don't know enough about adult Butti's yet but I love mine so far
