Hey everyone,

Well I rescued a really nice Jag from my local that had a pretty massive battle scar on his side.... story short he is all healed up and has grown from 12cm to 25cm since his rescue.

Quick questions, he is starting to get aggressive towards my hand in the tank when I clean or fill in his perfect gravel circles to the point his little teeth draw blood.
He is happy living with 2x 36cm Barramundi and a 25cm Oscar, there is the odd flare up and opened mouth stand off but lasts all of 10 seconds then its back to making his perfect little gravel circles.

Is this aggression toward my hand normal, are these gravel circles he makes normal activity and his side finds behind the gills are turning a red color.

normal behavior, some times it you can turn him by not being afraid and chasing him with your hand but other than that its just their behavior. i have a breeding pair at around 18cm and they are not nice lol

Cheers, I do bop him on the head with a finger when he does it but he is ruthless and its kill kill kill with him.... I don't not mind cause I like that but it freaks the soft hand lady of the house out when she does my duty when I'm away.

I'm guessing I need her to man up and crack him one across the noggin next time he trys it.
