I know Jags are a fairly common Cichlid in the hobby, but there's something about their shape and pattern that I've always found appealing. So I've always managed to have some in my Cichlid collection. The fact that they can get to 24" in the wild is impressive as well. Anyway, here is my mated pair with their second batch of eggs, they ate the first batch. The male is about 11" and the female is about 8".Sorry for the bad angle and quality of pic, I'll try to get some better ones and perhaps a video later. I hope you enjoy.

Jaguars have not always be common in the hobby. People are fickle and the fish that are popular today may be rare down the road. Popular or not Jags are a worthy fish. Thanks for posting yours!

Chris, thanks bro, much appreciated. I'm going to have to come down and check that Cichlid room out some day. Thanks for the cool comment rwell and Belly up. Oh and Belly up, I couldn't have said it better, you're right on man.

Hey bro, how are things going, are you all settled in yet? Anyway, I picked the female from a fellow MFKer, the one you told me had a female. Really a cool guy. Thanks for letting me know about his female. Hey, that Cuban you posted is absolutely awesome.

Sorry man, don't have a temp guage on the tank, but I live in a very hot climate, so the tank is probably 80-82 degrees right now, but just an educated guess.
