He was moving very quickly in the top 2 pictures. Cant wait to see 'em in the bigger tank. Be great for them and the pictures could be shot against a field of black, -probably look cooler.

Tx! I thought I would make my own seafood farm. j/k -No plans beyond raising some up. I'll probably end up selling some cheaply to lfs's -or just giving them away if they arent too large. You're welcome to some if that's possible.

Last night she seemed a lot more receptive to him, her belly swelling a little and I thought this looks like they could be in 'pre-spawn mode.' She started moving substrate, vibrating on the flat rock,, and basically responding to him much more, through the divider. So I tried it a while but could see, not quite yet.

Separated them and went to bed. Last night he jumped over the divider. He could not have gotten under it. I probably left like a half inch gap at the top and that was enough.
She's de-scaled, quite a bit down both sides of the top edge of her body.
She's eating this morning,, but not looking happy. fins are clumped and she's looks sullen, sitting in a corner. I think she'll be okay, just have to be sure it doesnt happen again. Bummer.
I wonder if she needs medication? So long as she is eating, I think she'll be okay. She's a very robust fish, more so than him it seems. He's just an inch bigger and that's enough/

A couple more fry shots from last night. (:
Does that jaw-projecting they do have a proper name?
