i just got a new jag and its about 7 inchs long looked very helthy in the tank that he was in and was out and swiming aLOT. now it is hiding all the time and never coming out.

It is stressed. Give it a week or two to adjust to it's new surroundings. What size tank is it in, and are there any tankmates?

60gallonm, yes there r 4 smaler jags 1 to 2 inchs

I assume that you know a 60 is too small for one adult jag right? But as I said before, it just sounds like your new guy is just stressed. Give him time.

ummmmmmmm as soon as that 7in jag is feeling comfortable your 1-2in jags will disappear, just putting that out there i would put the smaller ones in a smaller tank if you have one or they will be dinner and yes he is just stressed from being moved to a new environment he should warm up in no time make sure to spend time around the tank so he gets used to you and stay for a few mins after you feed so he associates you with food
