As you know I got this fella the other day, I woke up on Sunday morning to find him laying on the substrate, I 'll tell you I was perturbed as Saturday night when I went to bed he was fine. Well not really knowing what to do I added salt 1tsp per 10lts. I actually thought it was tickets. I checked on him through the day but no improvement.
Went to bed not expecting anything to happen but when I got up he was patroling the tank like nothing had been amiss.
Photos of what he looked like.

Yah they can take a week or two to stop pouting and be themselves. Unless there are obvious signs of illness or laboured breathing I wouldn't worry

My jag is a beast and he still pouts sometimes.
I wouldnt worry about it.

I also just recently purchased a little jag. He hid all the time. The only time he would consider coming out is when i fed him, and even then if he saw me he would go back to hiding. I added six 1/2-3/4 in danios. Now he swims around and is very active. He will even stare me down at the front of the tank!

He isn't eating the Danio's?

 Not at the moment no. The jag is actually really small, about the same size as the danios, and he pretty much ignores them unless they come near him. I expect in a month or so that they will be gone. I have a blue tex in there as well, and they are really the only two that interact with eachother. But yes, point taken. The danios eventually will probably end up being food.

My jags sometimes go through weird phases as well. Most of the problems only last a short while. My three jags I have at home went on a feeding frenzy this evening right before a thunderstorm rolled through. The change in pressure triggered them to start chomping.
My breeding pair of jags at work were both sick a couple weeks back. I treated the tank with some meds and some salt and a few days later they laid out their third batch of eggs.

Good luck with your jag!

Oh by the by, mine also will lay on the sand for 10 mintues at a time, and he's perfectly healthy, just thinking about his next meal (hoping it will be shrimp), the little bastard is somewhat finicky....
