Do jags mind water current when around 1-2 inches? I recently added a air pump in my 15g and his colors are showing alot more. Was thinking maybe its a sign of stress.

Do jags mind water current when around 1-2 inches? I recently added a air pump in my 15g and his colors are showing alot more. Was thinking maybe its a sign of stress.

As long sas they have qa place to get out of the current they are fine. In the wild they are found in mostly lakes and lagoons...around weeds or rocks. Stress signs are really when the fish looses their color. Hoping you have something bigger than a fifteen gallon tank for the fish down the road.

Ok, when current isnt on he seems to lose color.

I agree with Aquamojo in every way. I have a 4000litre/hour jet in my tank. The little Jag can swim in it when he has to but prefers to hide out in calmer parts of the tank.
