i was watching my jag today and he has teeth that are very noticeable i have not seen a pic of a jag with teeth b4 i got him when he was about an inch and a half. 2 months ago nows hes pushin 5 inch

yah jags are one of the few cichlids that have big teeth dempsy have teeth to

they definetly get teeth, and there very noticeable, but a good number of ca/sa cichlids get them, but on speices such as Amphilophus you really can't see them, if you get bitten though you'll know. lol

i really couldn't care less whether they had them or not, it's just not one of those things that i attributte to the overall worth of a fish.

My Jag is pushin 5". Last week I noticed that he had 1 tooth.... I was like wtf. Almost overnight the other one came in. And just the other day I found my Red O dead with bite marks all over the left side of its body. So far that is the first fish he has killed but I have already gotten rid of a big female JD and a GT that he constantly picked on. Now its just the Jag and a Tiger O in my 125. Funny cause that is what I was eventually going to reduce my stock to.

all parachromis species get these teeth, there psuedocanines....used in the wild to hold onto inverts, and other larger prey...they are more noticeable in the dovii, and jag...but other parachromis species do get them...
