Males tend to reach sizes up to 16 inches(ish) in length whereas females are only around 12 inches or more typically 10 inches.
Sexing this fish is very difficult when they are young because they all have black striping. The males will nearly if not completely vanish upon reaching maturity whereas the females stay with her throughout her life. The male is also gold with black speckles. Once mature males are larger than females as well.
How big is it and how long have you had it look like a girl at the Mo.

it is 7",just as i fought that it is a female i wish it would be a male ,she or he is for one year in one tank with a 100% male and they even don't tried ot breed ,so maybe it is a male i don't know exactly what shall i think about this
