can a jag live comfortably in a 100g 5'-18"-2' alone

sort of... IMO it will be too small once it hits the 18" mark. :)

I think a male would be fine it that size tank.

a 100 will be fine
most jags max out at 14".
how many people honestly can say their jag is bigger than that?

Imagine greenterra's Jag in that tank...

Hope he doesn't mind me show his Jag...it would need a 125g minimum IMHO.
I don't mind:grinno:
Actually I have my boy back on his own since he spontaneously decided to teach the Jardini,Pearsei and RD a lesson. The Jar is still healing:irked:
Tank size now is 5' x 20" x 22" .He seems to prefer the smaller tank, though I consider this to be bare minimum for him.For most Jags you would probably get away with a 5' x 18" wide tank as a solo fish only IMO:)

Such the beautiful fish, How big is he? It's odd how some fish seem to do better in smaller tanks when solo. My 10" paratilapia polleni is very active and quite the glass banger when in a 55g tank. Once I moved him to a 75g, he just sits in the corner and only comes out at feeding time.
