The can get pretty big. Most would say 75g for 1 female and 125g for a male. I'd say 180 for a pair.
A breeding Jaguar cichlid couple should be in a 180 gallon aquarium or bigger. females are a lot smaller
I'll say 90-100 for a single of either sex, if the male gets too big, get a 125.

Yeah I agree...those are ideal tanks for your fish. 
however...as far as minimums, you could house a Jag in a 75-90 gallon comfortably.....if your fish turns out to be a large one, growing up to 15+ inches, you should get a 120 or larger. This is just for minimums....

do your self the favor if you have'nt gotten a tank yet hold off till you can get a 250gal . the reason being if you buy two managuense of differant sex the male may be very aggressive to the female and dividing may be needed ..
