What are some (if any) good tankmates that could go with a male jag in a 125g tank? I would like to throw in a ornate cat if I can find one... but what else could go in there?!?

Thanks in advance!:feedback:

i've had success with oscars. big and dopey. around same max size. can take a hit or fight back if jag gets mean.

I agree a big oscar would work thats what I have mine with. 2 big tiger oscars but I have a Female Jag.

One jag, one oscar, one texas and a ornate cat??? Is that too much or too little? Will that combo work? Could a GT go in there or is that a definite no?

Should be fine. I would do one or two more fish, but then again I do huge wc's each saturday. Maybe a bunch of Cons with those to add movement.

One or two MORE? I thought that was pushing it already! I have many tanks now and am pretty good about getting my weekly w/c in. What else besides cons? BTW if it matters it will be filtered by a FX5 and Emp400.

i keep 3- 14" Ca/Sa cichlids in a 125 with a fx-5 and a large power filter and everythings fine.

One jag, one oscar, one GT, one texas, one severum??? It that too much for life or is that OK?

Also, there is no way of sexing a jag when young is there? So do I just get a juvi and pray that its male?

its pretty hard to tell the sex of jaguars when young but you should pray for a female they are much less aggressive and are smaller you would have a much better chance of that set up working if it were a female jaguar i've seen and heard many time of male jaguars clameing 6 foot tanks as there own

that should be fine for stocking mabye even more if you wan't to do big water changes 50%+ watch the severum to it may get whooped might wan't something a little tuffer could work but its up to them
