like the title says
do you think a jag would bother my dats too much
the tank would be 180-225 and in a few years when the dats are bigger
would it be less stressful on the dats with other cichlids
the tank is going to be an on going project (plywood tank)
so hopefully a 225 with a 50g sump and an xp4
with a stock of
5 dats
1 jag
1 texas
1 oscar
and a few bichirs

thanks!

I only have the dats and the texas and they are in seperate tanks
the texas is 5" and the dats are only an inch
the texas is fairly aggressive to smaller fish but my old JD pwned him and was a bit smaller too

the dats wont be going in until an appropriate size

IMO the dats would end up dead .. the get stressed easy .. and they grow at 1/10 the speed ..

and oscars grow soo fast .. and my jags grow almost as fast .. maybe at adult size .. but i would not put my fish on the line to test it ..

the texas is actually a pearl scale btw
how long would it take my 1 inch dats to reach 8 or so inches
3 years?
what about ditching the oscar as I already have the "texas" and jags are my dream cichlid

ok I guess Ill just stick to oddballs
Im now think my dats a gar and a bunch of bichirs
but again, how slow is slow growing

sweet, the tank likely wont be up for a year or so, so thats pretty decent!
thanks!
