I came across this for sale locally. Got pretty upset when I saw this. Those two fish look horrible. for 5 bucks each I wonder why hes selling it for so cheap....

I came across his other ad..

I was kind of interested in this until I saw how the other two fish he had for sale looked...

Does anyone else get pissed when they see ads like this...

Oscar looks like he has hole in the head and just tons of cuts on him.

I'm just on a rant made me mad.

That Texas Jag looks kinda cool. What's the first fish a Jag mix? The Oscar looks beat...

He just wants it to go to a good home huh? Cause he cant give it one...

I've seen some oscars with bad HITH that were dropped off at the pet store, but that one may take the cake. It's horrible.

I stopped making "window shopping" visits to my lfs because people kept dropping off oscars that looked like this one.

$5 each? Should be "free!"

I rescued these 2 oscars with hith not too long ago. My intention was to buy a 30 gal tank from a guy off craigslist. When I saw the tank, my attention drew to the 2 full grown oscars in it. Because the tank was so filthy, I turned it down even after he offered it to me for free. They bounced back to health nicely and even wanted to spawn. Female is the albino. After about 6 weeks I posted them for "free!" Didn't take long to find them a new home.

Trust me, they looked nothing like this when I first got them. Amazing what clean water & food can do for sick fish. Wish I had some before pictures.

HITH is very treatable. Good job on your part, pristine water low stress and good diet, RD please do not give me greaf on this but IMHO HITH is avoidable and quite curable, no meds needed.
