They also grow really quickly--especially the males. My jag and zonatus were the two fastest growing fish I've owned. Grammodes and cubans probably the slowest.

Males have strong vertical lines that run from their dorsal fin down their sides, they also have pointed dorsal/anal fins.

Females will have blotches on their sides starting from behind their gill plate to the base of their tail and will form what looks like a horizontal bar going across their sides. Also their dorsal/anal fins will be more rounded off.

Its called a jaguar, not a jagar. You probably just misspelled it though.

They get big, they are aggressive, and they look really nice. You'll need a big tank if you want one though.
