jagaur chichids help needed

Jags are great. Basically, they're easy. Keep the water well filtered and clean. Feed them good cichlid pellets and frozen fish/shrimp/squid (thawed of course) and basically just follow the general cichlid guidelines.

thanx for the links got what i needed luckly i got a breeding pair my only concern is the 11' common plec in the tank hope they dont beat him to death have to post pics soon.
Good job on snagging a pair of breeders...You'll be like me with endless amounts of free feeders 
They are simple fish....Mine have got use to just regular tap water and breed like crazy....I guess its the water....
Ill post some videos of the action....they are breeding as I am writing this....Ill call it SEX ED 101 for Jag's
How big are they?....What size tank do you have them in?....Make sure you get a couple peaces of slate in there for them to lay the eggs on....and if you got plants or a landscape going on in that tank....You might just wanna forget it....they will tear it up in seconds....

ones 6' the others 8" the small one the female i'm guesing hasnt stopped clearing the slate under the chunk of wood they have already ebatablized one end of the tank as theres mean little buggers theyre in a 90 but i'm looking at a 150 right now
Mine are in my 55gal with a few plecos...they dont beat them up just run them off...They are great parents and protect them for the first month or so....Until the get "tastey" lookin'......
I just did a water change this afternoon @1pm....and at 4pm they moved a spot next to some slate and my female started pumpin out eggs on it....male followed suit and they did the drop and fert circles....it is now almost 9pm and they are still going at it....

don't worry bout the pleco. Mine tries to beat on my plec sometimes, but he just completely ignores the jag and goes about his buisiness. so much armor I guess. It's funny to watch.
