One of my swordtail females has a jagged looking underside, which looks like about 3-4 'spikes' on her underside. It looks like she was broadsided with a circular saw, sideways. My other swordtails in the tank are fine (1 other female and a male). They are in a planted tank with black sand, live plants, MTS, a terra cotta pot, and some red slate pieces (flat on the floor, not sticking up).
Is this a symptom of some disease or is this female being attacked or is she humping the MTS or is she getting roughed up with the slate? Here's some pics- It starts basically where her chin would be if fishes had chins, and goes down to about under to the pelvic fins.
