So ive got a male and female jag thats been together for a couple of years now. The female went through a phase about a year ago where she laid eggs 3-4 times back to back. She wouldnt let the male fertilize the eggs when she did lay em. Ever since then, she hasnt laid anymore. After i do a water change, she cleans this one rock off and her tube comes down likes shes gonna lay them. She never does though. Is there something i can do to help out in the process. Do you think it would help if i separated the two with a divider? The male wont let the female come anywhere near his side of the tank.

if they've been together a few years and nothing has happened I don't think it ever will...just not compatible

Probably the case...you may try seperating them with light grating (egg crate) though and see if that helps. I had a friend years ago who kept a pair of polleni like that and they would actually breed from opposite sides of the divider. I have also heard of people using the egg crate and cutting a hole in it just large enough for the female but not so large that the male could get through it...she can go over breed, then go back to her side and yell at him where he can't do anything about it :(
