So i finally got my 268gal up and running. I bought 2 jaguar cichlids (both 12inches) and they are in their alone at the moment and happy as larry. I now want to add my 5 oscars( 3 reds 10-11 inches, 1 tiger 11-12inches and albino 8-9inches), my ornate bichir 14-16inches and pleco 10-12inches. also getting a pbass tonight about 7-9inches.

WILL THIS WORK OR AM i DREAMING??? :screwy:

I'm really not too sure about that, i've seen a single Jag in with a bunch of oscars, but if the jags pair up it may not work.

I wanna see pix of those jags though!

Let's see some pictures Cockroach.
I love Jags. I currently have a 10" male thanks to my friend Chris,
a 8" male , a 6" female and numerous fry. :)

It'll work. Soon, some of those specimen will need a tank of their own. For example, if you want your peacock to thrive, I suggest a 300g for full potential health/growth.

Just my 2cents :headbang2

I would skip adding the p-bass the tank will be over-crowded as is. And if those jags pair up you oscars are toast. Also i've only seen jags work with oscars when there is plenty of territory to go around but with 9 occupants that are capable of getting over 14" eventually the jags will own the others because space will be to limited. Plus i think letting the jags in the tank first was a mistake, in order for this to work temporaily you should have added the other weaker less aggressive fish in first then added the jags later.

should be okay but the peacock sounds a little small!!!!

it is so many fish that it will probable work. i have seen many tanks crowded with jags, dovi, dempsy's,arrow, giant gramis. as long as you can cover the bio load there will be plenty of fish to spread aggression
