how do you tell a male jaguar from a female jaguar? someone tell me please

The easiest way to get a male is to buy a group of babies and wait til only one is left, that's almost definately a male. If you don't feel like trying this approach, males usually have a metallic sheen to them and more of a bump on their forehead. Also their pattern is all over their body whereas females tend to have a definate stripe of black dots down their body and a more subdued pattern elsewhere. Hope this helps!

males generally get larger and have more distinct spotting, while the females coloration is duller

other people posted the males lose their lateral line and the females keep it, but im not sure about this theory.

Here are a couple pics of my male and female. The larger darker one is the male, notice the color and pattern difference.

I think it is tuff to sex them under 7 of 8"
