Phoenix
125 gal tank with approx 9" Jaguar and approx 13" Tiger Oscar.
Should I add another fish? If so what would be compatable?
Just something to add alittle variation... such a large tank and only 2 fish....

With fishes that big, I'd be afraid to add anything that may be eaten or attacked due to
territorial issues. If you add anything, pls consider the size of the new fish & rearrange
decor if any; plus huge w/c should help. I would like to see some sort of bottom dweller.
Maybe a bichir?

A poly would be nice, also check out a midas(make sure he is almost the size of the jag) both of those would be great in that setting.

Question is what would YOU like to add? Bottom dweller? Mid-level swimmer? Dithers? Target fish? Maybe a pair of cons? If so hopefully the Oscar and Jag can keep convict numbers low heh

I would add a big bottom fish, I don't think another cichlid will work out based on the size of the current fish and their having established territories

This is true, Clown loaches maybe big ones like 4" plus?

I would add a few convicts becasue tehy dont get too big and they can deffinitley fend for themselves. Good Luck with whatever you shoose though.

add a couple bichirs and a catfish or two. Wouldnt buy anything under 6 inchs my self tho.

if you don't mind adding an African fish, a larger species of Synodontis would be interesting, but no guarantees obviously

I have never had good luck putting an oscar and a midas together. One of the midas I had tore such a big chunk off of the oscar I could see his ribs. Thank god I got the midas away before he killed the oscar.
