My jaguar has always been strange as he sleeps on the ground. Only fish I've ever had, since I've got him at 1". I removed all competitors in his tank so that he can "dominate" it (There was a JD and a Geo. Itapacurensis in there.)
He ate voraciously before that, 10-15 pellets a day, a few monstivore pellets, then some krill. No problem.
Now, he built himself a cave under one of my plecos caves. He sits in there all day and only comes out for maybe 30 mins of the day. I try to drop food right infront of his cave but he generally doesn't touch it, unless he eats it after I go away.
He still has a great sheen, looks very healthy, so parasites I don't expect.
The tank strangely dropped 3-4 degrees, I turned it up this morning though.
Any ideas on what I can do to get him back on his eating track and be more active? Tank mates are in my signature.
