Never keep jaguars and clown loaches together. I have done that recently due to tank downsizing.
Had 5 fat catfish go into the tank with 3.5''-7'' loach herd and 3 months later they were thin. Before I tore down the tank to sell off the loaches.
PLUS the barbs and squabbles that both have, not good on both parts. Now I have happy fat jaguars back into their own domain sharing a 110g stock tub with emperor tetras thats breeding fry left and right... keeping them fat/happy.
Healthy loaches will beat/eat up all of the food they can gouge themselves on before letting any jaguars find them.
FYI- 2 of my 3'' are now at 4'' and over mark maybe 4.5'' for both I'm the worst eyeballer. (I've had them for almost over a year now and one of them over 2 years) , the 2x 6'' have remained the same, just gained in girdth, and the 5'' remained the same. Waiting until they reach the 9'' mark!
