I ordered a jaguar catfish (liosomadoras oncinus) from Snookn21 should be here tues or Wednesday. I was wondering if I should lower the temp of my tank? it is currently at 82 from what I've read is Jags will stop eating if the temp is too high. Anyone have problems with Jags an higher water temps? Also will they eat any thing that will fit into there mouths? Like a RTC I hope not. Also anyone have problems with them being territorial towards other fish? Any feed back would help I'm excited to get this guy. I've had my eye on them for a while now thanks

Not too sure about possible problems with different temperatures but the main problem I had with them was that I never saw them as they despised any light.I would have to observe them in the dark with a flashlight if I wantesd to see them.I fed mine sinking pellets but being cats they probably would go after any small food items big enough to engulf.

Mine were doing fine in temps even at 86F. I just had to sell them as they hide all the time and will only come out during lights off or sometimes when the food gets close to the hiding spot. Then goes back in right away just grabbed the food and off it goes again.

From my experience they are pretty neutral with other fishes. However, I did have a mishap where one of my other cats killed one of my jag for hiding in it's cave. and mine were in 80f about and they were fine but sold them because my other cats were to mean and I liked my other cats more still love the jags though just didn't have another tank for them.
