Can my female jaguar mate with any other kind of cichlid..? she has laid eggs on a rock and i dont have a male it is day 4 some of the eggs are white the rest are like tanish color.. are they fertile..? will she eat them. if so how long will it take??? if eggs are not fertile will it harm my water?? she is only 5 inch if i add a male 3 1/2 in will they mate..????

Your jag can cross breed with many cichlids. What else is in the tank?

2 Jack Dempsey 3 convicts 1 jeweled 3 red zebra 2 idk what they are but they are blue with black stripe's and 2 are dark blue almost black..
How much bigger of a male do i need to breed with her??..and about the eggs could any of my fish fertalized them??? it takes 12 -24 hours for eggs to turn white if not fertilized but some are white but rest are tanish??? why hasn't she ate them if there is no male??
The dempseys or convicts could have fertilized them watch if any are near the eggs. The male should be about the same size as her.
she wont let any of the fish near that side of the tank where her eggs are....i have a male that is about 3 1/2 almost 4 inch in a diff tank is it possible i could add him in the tank with the female and see what happens.? and for the eggs im on day 4 they are saposed to hatch on day 5 but each day more and more get white.. but if there not fertile there saposed to go white after 12-24 hours
I would wait and see how things in the tank go. If you add the male and some eggs hatch then you might run into some major aggression issues.
ok well she is attacking all my other fish should i remove some?? i probably have about 17 in the tank..move them to diff tank and leave her in there..??
